We all have money issues, but those of us seeking a less commercial artistic path probably have more than most. And women creatives, or those of us working instinctively - perhaps we have even trouble ever accumulating power and wealth.
Whether it's the challenge of creating steady income, or of marketing ourselves with sufficiently enthusiastic focus, we tend to reach a point where we simply run out of energy, knowledge, or confidence... or all of those things together!
This is a series of 10 podcasts, each around 10 to 25 mins, going into some of the deeper and practical concerns of art and money; how we work as artists and thrive financially, by understanding the complexity and underlying energy of money. The series goes into why we struggle so, and reveals some of the biggest-but-ridiculously-simple secrets around how to access a truly enduring power in our work and lives as creative folk.

Having grown up in a tiny mountain village on a Scottish island, I graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1996 and Edinburgh College of Art in 2007. I've travelled extensively, lived barefoot and free, and explored various creative realms and fields of study, never compromising my deep vision of freeing human creative potential.
In general, I found the 'art world' highly corrupt, hierarchical, and an offense to real creativity, and so I mostly worked outwith conventional realms.
My colourful international career has involved a radical studio practise as well as visionary work transforming community and landscape and contributing to dialogue around transforming human consciousness. I also write passionately on politics, sacred underlying reality, and how we support shifts into more harmonious, healthy, cooperative and fulfilling rhythms of work and life.
I run a magical Arthouse in a previously-abandoned medieval quarter of an Italian hill town. I hold the keys to the city for having brought it to global attention, and several other awards for my art and spiritual values, projects and social entrepreneurship.
My art is in collections around the world, including a large body of work in Glasgow Women's Library.
